Other Side Of The Globe

The funny thing is, that 2 posts earlier which I probably posted 2 months ago, I promised to continue blogging regularly and talked about getting some kind of stupid mental block.

And here I am after a gazillion days with no posts.

So here’s what happened, my family came to the United States for my summer holidays. It’s been 15 days here and 15 more to go. I am having the best time of my life, so I completely forgot about blogging.

After living at my Aunt’s who lives in the New Jersey suburbs, we are now living in New York City. Ask my hurting legs how much we explore just every single day. I am fascinated by the cultural and ethnic diversities here. And let’s not start with the food and well of course, the ice-creams!

It’s now more of a routine for us to wake up, eat breakfast, choose a location to visit, and hop on the subway. The thing that makes me the most happy here, is my sister! I am glad to be spending time with her.

I have to say that I personally prefer the suburbs as they are calm, green and common life seems to be happy there. Though the city has got a beautiful night life, and the enormous buildings aren’t a bore.

So, dear readers, that was my little life update, now I would love to know about yours in the comments!

I am a 15-year-old bookworm. Reading is the fuel that I need to survive! It gives me a greater sense of the big world around me from my cosy couch. I have made reading my best companion and a teacher. The happiness reading brings me is immense. I read books of all genres, and here is the take on the books from a book worm's view!

  1. Wow! That sounds fun! I missed you here in the blogosphere, but I’m glad you got to go on such an exciting vacation. What do you think the biggest difference between the US and India is? And also – ice cream is delicious (random comment, but whatever).

    1. I missed you people as well! There are quite some differences, I believe. I am seeing people from all races, and nationalities here, which I don’t get to see back in India.
And the ice-creams here are far too large, haha!

  3. I’m glad to see you’re enjoying the Big Apple. Down here in Arkansas, New York is just like the other side of the world. I’ve been lots of places in my country, but I’ve never had a hankering to visit the Big Apple.

    1. Hey there, and yeah, the Big Apple is down right juicy, haha! Though I find it quite noisy down these quarters, Arkansas would have been just fine.
      Have a great day!

  4. It’s ok to not blog and enjoy spending time with family, doing fun things and making tons of memories to look back at when they are gone. πŸ₯°πŸ₯°
